About Me

Hello! My name is Andy and I am from Harbin, a city in Northeast China famous for an ice and snow sculpture winter festival. People in the north of China are very hospitable, easygoing and open-minded, and so am I.

Having lived in Beijing for 18 years, I consider myself half Beijinger and I feel very confident to show you around. I hope that during your stay in Beijing you can not only satisfy your eyes but also your stomach, while you experience Chinese culture and have a better understanding of China and its people.

Besides sightseeing, I will also introduce you to good places to eat and drink. Food is a very important part of Chinese culture. By the way, as I like photography very much I can help you take some snapshots of the highlights of your trip. All in all, I will do my best to make your trip to Beijing a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

For your reference, below are some of my reviews on Tripadvisor. (Please note: if you open these links on your mobile, TripAdvisor may ask you to install its app.)

Our guide Andy was the best tour guide we could ask for. So knowledgeable and perfect English. I was recovering from surgery and I know we could not have seen or done as much as we did. Every place went had so many stairs and Andy was always there to make sure I was comfortable and saw everything I could in our two day visit. The Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, and The Temple of Heaven required lots of walking and lots of stairs and with Andy’s help I made them all. He even made reservations for dinner that night that was delicious.

Andy, our guide during the three days in Beijing, went out of his way to provide amazing service and hospitality..., Only one negative was the initial pickup service at PEK, where there was a mix up in the sequence of our two groups. Mistakes happen but it is how they are fixed that matter. Even though it was late on a Saturday night, both Linda and Andy helped fix the problem, and both called me to ensure that everything was straight.

Andy in Beijing took us to a great local restaurant and can take great pictures.
